"If you are reading this, you are about to make the most critical decision of your life. You may have never imagined you would be in the position you are in now. But here you are. That's where I found myself. Everything I had ever worked for, my reputation, my career, my future, were on the line. The most important action I took was hiring Mr. Wiltshire a couple of days after my arrest. That decision saved my career and my future.

I made my decision based on in-depth research and recommendations from friends in law school. They emphasized Mr. Wiltshire is a legend in the area. He is extremely well respected in the legal community. It didn't take long for me to see that for myself. I could tell after my first meeting with him that Mr. Wiltshire truly cared for me as a person. I was a recent college grad and had just landed my dream job. I made one mistake that could have completely altered the course of my life. I was lost. I feared losing everything I had ever worked for. Mr. Wiltshire saw all of that. He genuinely wanted to help. He went above and beyond for me.

I know no other attorney would have put forth the effort he put forth for me. Any other attorney would have collected a check and taken the easy way out. Not Mr. Wiltshire. He was able to find a small fault in the details of the case and my case was COMPLETELY DISMISSED BEFORE INDICTMENT. I never stepped foot in any court. I never stood in front of a judge. I was never formally charged with anything. I never had to plead to anything. That was the absolute best case scenario for me and Mr. Wiltshire delivered. I would day dream of a result like this, but never thought it would become a reality.

I will never forget the moment he called me to share the news with me. He gave me my future back. I spoke to many other attorneys before making the decision to hire Mr. Wiltshire. I knew in my gut, after my first meeting with him, that he is the BEST choice. I know for a fact that no other attorney would care enough to go above and beyond to get the absolute best case outcome for the client.

During our first meeting, he made it very clear that he is a winner and boy did he prove it. Mr. Wiltshire, I will never forget everything you did for me when I was on my back. Thank you."

M. Moran, DUI Client
“During a very chaotic period of my life, I decided on Mr. Wiltshire first, after reading his positive reviews; but then I was sold after reading his resume where he has served as both a successful former prosecutor and now, as a defense attorney.

Mo really came through for me from start to finish. His level of communication was superior. We talked often always giving me assurance that every detail was being handled....Mo went after the best deal possible with the prosecutor.

I highly recommend Morris Wiltshire for his knowledge of the law, honesty and upfront direction. He is tenacious towards every detail, and very aggressive in defending a client towards the best possible solution.”

I was recently charged with a DUI, failure to maintain lane, as well as driving too fast for conditions after an ATV crash. Well, believe it or not, a DUI is a DUI no matter a vehicle or ATV. While in the hospital, I thought my professional career was over, driver’s license revoked, jail time and the list goes on! I am ten years from retirement and was in need of some serious help! It was time to find a very good attorney and fast. I started using Google. A long list of DUI attorneys appeared. I made several calls and had a few phone consults without much luck or hope. Then I found Mo Wiltshire!!

This was truly a blessing. I called his office and told the staff my situation. Within an hour, I received a phone call from Mo late on Friday afternoon from his cell phone. After our conversation, I immediately knew this was going to be my attorney no matter what. Not only did he give me peace of mind, he was nice enough to ask if he needed to talk to my wife to assure her things were going to be ok. Shortly there after, I met with Mr. Wiltshire in one of his many offices. In a casual setting, (MO) spoke to me as if we had known each other forever. After seeing my tickets and hearing my story, he was straight forward and honest with me. He told me he felt confident we could get these reduced. These were however serious charges and there was no guarantee of getting them reduced. I understood and agreed and hired him that day. His fees were very reasonable and straight forward with no hidden agenda. Mr. Wiltshire was able to get my case dropped completely! My family and I forever owe him and his staff for saving my career! I highly recommend Mr. Wiltshire and his staff for any legal needs you may have.

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mr. Wiltshire and his professional staff. They are not only on top of your case and looking out for your best interest but also care about you and your family as you go through a difficult process. Mr. Wiltshire made us feel very confident that our case was being handled on a timely basis with constant communication as to what direction the case was going and what our options would be. Mr. Wiltshire’s staff answered phone calls and emails in a timely manner. Mr. Wiltshire’s is very respected in his field, which was demonstrated by his good communication with prosecutors and judges in our community. "

I was arrested in Athens Clarke County on a DUI charge and immediately began combing the internet for representation. It did not take long to stumble upon Mr. Wiltshire’s name and after reading the stellar reviews, I decided to give him a call. It only took 2 minutes on the phone with him to know he was the right guy for the job. I spoke with numerous lawyers, but Mo stood out from the crowd.

The process took some time, but ultimately he was able to use his relationships (he knows everybody….really, everybody) and experience to get me a favorable pre-trial disposition in the form of a lesser charge. I believe this was a fair resolution and would choose Mo again if I could do it over. Thank you Mo for caring about your clients and for keeping a DUI off my record!

“I was unfairly arrested by an Athens Police officer in downtown during one of the game nights. I called several lawyers until a couple of my friends referred me to Mr. Wiltshire. Upon reviewing the police report, Mr. Wiltshire assured me with confidence that no other lawyers have. I knew from that moment that I had picked the right person to represent me. Three months after my arrest, Mr. Wiltshire was able to dismiss my case and restrict my files before I even had to go through the jury trial. I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for me.

He is a very understanding guy who cares very much about his clients. I would strongly recommend him to my friends if they are ever put into the same situation. His knowledge and expertise in this area is phenomenal. Call him now if you need help, and I guarantee you will get the best result.”

Reginald, Criminal Defense Client
“He gave me the honest truth about how I stood in the eyes of the law and put in the time to establish the best defense for me. My case was very serious and Mo argued my case with the DA and got a greatly reduced sentence! He is very personable and a good family man. In the event that I need a lawyer in the future I will definitely call on Mo and I will recommend him to anyone who needs excellent legal representation!”

“I’m so thankful I read these reviews and picked Mr. Wiltshire to be my lawyer. Not only was he completely professional, but he handled my case extremely well. It was my first time ever being charged with anything and he really knew the best moves to get me the best results. I would recommend him to anyone who is new to the justice system and needs a lawyer they can trust. Don’t hesitate. He’s worth every penny.”

“My daughter was arrested for underage drinking, a fake ID and DUI. I think we made a great decision when we hired Mo Wiltshire. From the first phone consultation, both my daughter and I had a good feeling about him. He helped us through all of the steps from the initial license hearing to the courtroom appearances. Ultimately we did get a favorable plea agreement and the DUI was reduced to reckless driving.”

“It took a while, the Athens court system does not negotiate these types of cases easily. We had to be patient and let Mo do the work so that eventually we received an outcome that seemed to be the best possible. I would highly recommend him!”

Parent of a College Student

Theo, DUI Client and UGA Student
“Mr. Wiltshire has definitely stepped up for me. I decided to hire his service 7 days after being stopped by the police in Athens Clarke County and having consulted with other 3 lawyers. My knowledge about DUI laws and regulations was 0 and I needed someone experienced and trustworthy to take care of my case.

And he did, my case got reduced to a reckless driving after a few months of negotiation with the prosecutor. He knew when the time would be right to make the approach and used it in our advantage to reduce the case. I couldn’t be any happier with his service. This was the worse experience I have been through in my life, and having the right guy to support me was the only way to have some peace of mind. I will always be thankful to Mr.Wiltshire for stepping up for me. If you ever get charged with a DUI, don’t hesitate calling Mr. Wiltshire.”

“My son had 3 different family violence (FVA) charges and 1 obstruction charge as a result of three separate arrests against him....we were initially using an attorney in Gwinnett County, but lost confidence in him.

I “prayed” about my son’s situation. I was informed that I should use an attorney in Jackson County. I started my online research and found Mr. Wiltshire, but I still was unsure. I contacted a relative that worked in Jackson County and she gave me 2 attorney names. One was Mr. Wiltshire’s, so I felt that my prayer was answered and should contact him.

I was impressed with him at our 1st appointment! He made me feel so comfortable, he was very positive about what he could do for my SON! My PRAYER was answered! All 3 FVA charges were dropped! Small fine for the “obstruction charge” and 12 months probation! I “highly” recommend “MO” for your legal representation!”

“I hired Mr. Wiltshire as a result of a second DUI in 5 years charge. I was facing substantial jail time in a prosecutorial environment were a lot of deals are simply not made (Athens/Clarke County -UGA). He didn’t promise the moon but he damn near delivered it. He knew what I was potentially facing. He was prepared to try the case up to the last minute. In the end, he was able to negotiate an extremely reasonable plea deal that allowed me to keep my job, etc.”

“Throughout the ordeal he was knowledgable and responsive to my questions, he kept my wife and I informed of all negotiations with the solicitors office. In the courtroom and in front of the Solicitors and Judges his efficacy was remarkable and the respect he received from all at every proceeding was noted by everyone in attendance.”

“I am from out of town, but needed a lawyer in Athens for my son’s criminal defense. Not knowing where to turn, my daughter-in-law found a website with reviews for lawyers. I read all that pertained to our problem. I was impressed with the reviews for Mo Wiltshire. I liked the fact that he was once a prosecutor. The reviews were all positive, and because of them, the ratings that put Mo in the top 10 percent of attorneys in Georgia, and our initial conversation, I hired him. In the courthouse, he knows everybody, and they all know him. I like that, too.”

“He kept us informed and gave reasons for his strategy. Even though the process took a while, it worked. Mr. Wiltshire got the prosecutor to agree to a much shorter time to present to the judge than he originally wanted. I believe that the outcome was fair and due to Mr. Wiltshire’ s competence. I would recommend Mr. Wiltshire to anyone who needs a good lawyer. I hope we never need a lawyer again, but I would not hesitate to call him if needed.”

Keith (an Atlanta Executive whose son was charged with DUI)
“Most lawyers claim to be “trial lawyers”. Few actually feel comfortable in front of a jury. My son was charged with DUI in Athens. I am in the business of defending large insurance companies and our clients in civil litigation. I knew who to ask about criminal litigators and I trusted my advice. My son is sure glad we were referred to Mo Wiltshire.

I attended the trial and watched as every word was said – we clearly had the State “out-lawyered”. When your lawyer weaves the story together during the trial and wraps it up in a closing argument where every juror is glued to each word he says, you know you hired the right guy.

Our case was clearly one that could have been lost. The difference was the attorney and it was a true work of art. I have taken the time to write this not because I ever expect to need Mr. Wiltshire again …. I write this because someone might read this and realize that a young man or woman charged with a crime or DUI truly has a ton to lose if convicted.

Hire the right lawyer. Hire the lawyer who does trial work day in and day out and does not just claim to do it. Ask when was the last time you took a case like this to a jury? What is your track record in the last 3 – 5 years in trial? Not everyone will know who to call like I did to get the referral for the best DUI defense trial lawyer in Athens and really, anywhere around this State.

You cannot overestimate the value of being known to the legal community and liked in the courtroom where you practice. Everyone spoke to Mo – from the clerk to the Judge, to the Sheriff at the security check in. They all called him Mo. They asked about his kids and his wife. I can tell you – all of that matters and if your lawyer is a jerk, all of those people know it and so will the jury.”

Keith (an Atlanta Executive whose son was charged with DUI)

William, North Georgia Truck Driver, DUI Client
“Mo Wiltshire will work hard for you, he will keep you informed and he will ask for your opinion. This is the only attorney I have ever known that will treat you with respect and will be up front and will not lie to you. Mo is so smart and observant that during our trial he would pick up on the smallest detail and use it against them. Mo never led us to believe that he knew what was going to happen but he would let us know all of our options just in case something didn’t go as planned. Mo Wiltshire worked his magic and we received a not guilty verdict on a DUI and all other charges, I have never been so happy or so grateful to have Mo on our side.”

“Hiring Mo Wiltshire will be the best decision you could make for yourself! Mo started reviewing my case and talking to me about it over the weekend of the incident. Mo believed in me and gave me hope from our first conversation. He is supportive, empathetic and a tremendous advocate as well as a very personable individual. Mo did not give me advice, he gave me options, and I appreciated that. You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not set up an appointment and at least get his professional opinion on your case. Mo is the best at what he does, he has the knowledge, skill set, and most importantly the intent to help people in need. I highly recommend him!”

“Mo Wiltshire is truly the best at what he does! After my first consultation with him I immediately felt that my case was in great hands, and that he was going to work diligently to help me. He was so knowledgeable about the case and the process we would have to go through to achieve the best results. He kept me informed at every step of the way and was completely honest and direct with everything we would have to do. Whenever there was any new information, Mo called me right away to inform me on the news. Mo is very empathetic and I felt that he truly cared about me as a person and my well being. Mo is also a respectable man and it is obvious in the courtroom. He always reassured me that everything was going to be okay and kept me updated on the process of my case, which definitely helped me keep my sanity. Overall, I was very content with Mo’s work and he ended up getting me a great deal. I recommend Mo Wiltshire to anyone in need of assistance.”

“Because of his experience in the field Mo Wiltshire knew exactly what we could hope to accomplish in court and who to consult along the way….just hearing that kind of information from him upfront provided some much needed peace of mind. By obtaining the footage of my field sobriety tests he was able to build a strong case and get the charge dropped from a DUI to Reckless Driving…..way better than a DUI on one’s record.”

Elizabeth M. Edwards, Paralegal
"Dear Mo"

"Thank you for talking with me on Wednesday. You provided such comfort and confirmed some of what we suspected. Unfortunately, my parents secured the assistance of an attorney friend (a son of one of their friends who is a criminal attorney from South Georgia who has been in practice for many years) and I am not in a position to yet disagree. I am keeping your contact information close by and the moment I feel in danger I will contact you.

Your assistant was most helpful when I called and was also most helpful in my stressful situation of “not knowing” what we were into. Your website and facebook entries are spot on to what a nice and helpful person you are. If anyone ever needs help in Athens, I know where to send them.

Thanks again for taking the time to talk with me. If you ever need anything in the Augusta Circuit and Harlem or Waynesboro Municipal Courts, please do not hesitate to call."

Elizabeth M. Edwards, Paralegal

“Mo, did a great job with my case. His casual style and understanding of the process enabled me to get much better results than I expected. He is the man if you need help with a DUI.”

“Mo worked with me on a recent DUI case that just went to trial in January 2013. Mo was very attentive and thorough from the moment I met with him. He reviewed my situation and was very specific with how he wanted to proceed with my case. I am an advertising professional in the Atlanta area and I was arrested for a DUI; I knew I wanted to fight it and therefore I needed a lawyer. Mo was recommended to me and I couldn’t have asked for a better recommendation. Mo was honest with me with every step that I would have to take. Nothing was a surprise along the way and he never made me feel worried . He answered all of my questions and fought for my innocence. I know I was in good hands and I received a NOT GUILTY in court this past week. I highly recommend Mo.”

Jesse, Georgia School Teacher
"Morris Wiltshire, who I call Mo, helped me overcome the toughest obstacle my life has ever seen. My teaching career was on the line, and my own freedom was at stake. He took my case with confidence, assuring me that if I really was innocent of the charges brought against me then I should fight to save my life. He did the fighting while I did the praying. I was faced with felony and misdemeanor drug charges that would end my career and financial security for the rest of my life. My reputation was already ruined, and I had to try and get it back.

Mo fought endlessly to get the results I needed, and in the end we would prevail. He was honest the whole time, letting me know all the possibilities, whether they were good or possibly bad. He was honest about the price of his services, which was very fair compared to what I was going to lose if I was convicted. He immediately went to work, covering all angles of the case. He even kept me out of jail when it seemed that I would face time until court. Mo was persistent in getting me results, and I just knew it would all work out.

He kept me informed as new deals were offered to me, but would always say he could get a better deal. I was patient, and glad that I was. Court never came, a trial never took place. In the end, I recently received the greatest news anyone could ask for! My case was dismissed due to lack of evidence, and my career was saved! I could not have done it without Mo Wiltshire. I got the results I truly wanted, even though I thought they were impossible to get. Mo did it, and I overcame that obstacle in my life. Facing those charges helped me learn to be careful who I trust in life, but I would definitely trust Mo and recommend him to anyone needing an excellent lawyer in any kind of tough case. He can help you.""

Jesse, Georgia School Teacher

“Mr. Wiltshire went above and beyond all of my expectations. I am 21 years old and was arrested for DUI even though I blew under the legal limit. After looking around at several lawyers in the Athens area, I came across Mr. Wiltshire and instantly felt the most confident in his approach to my case. Other lawyers felt that the best they could do was getting my charge reduced, but Mr. Wiltshire got my case completely dismissed before my court date. Other lawyers told me that my case would probably have to go to trial, but Mr. Wiltshire took care of everything and I never had to appear in court. He seems to know almost everyone in the Athens court system and knew just what to do and say to get me the best possible resolution. Not only did he succeed in getting all charges dropped, but he helped me keep this incident from affecting my personal and work life by going out of his way to make several calls to make sure my life stayed as normal as possible. He is always available to help and I know that I can call on him in the future if I ever need anything. Mr. Wiltshire is absolutely the best lawyer I could have possibly asked for and I recommend him to anyone and everyone!”

“All citizens of Athens and the surrounding areas know that the police force is a prominent part of bulldog country. Two Decembers past, I was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol on my way home after a wonderful night of music downtown. My good friend Lucia Nasuti Smeal (an Atlanta lawyer), a graduate of UGA, recommended Mr. Wiltshire. Mo did everything in his power to acquire all evidence pertaining to my case for the betterment of my fair justice. We went to jury and Mr. Wiltshire was a rockstar in the courtroom. I could not have been more fortunate to find someone as qualified as this guy and will recommend him to everyone.”
